Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis Club accepting grant applications through May 3
QUINCY — The Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis Club Foundation provides grant money to benefit youths and/or youths and adults working together for the betterment of the community. Grant money is to provide enrichment of educational values, creative activities, cultural awareness, physical wellness and/or community service.
The Breakfast Kiwanis Club is a member of Kiwanis International, founded in 1915. Through service and fund raising, the goal of the organization is to serve the children of the world. Money raised through a trivia night, peanut day, the Sammy and Friends golf outing and other activities is spent locally to help youths. The group’s annual Grant Day has provided more than $71,000 to local entities supporting youth. The club presented $15,000 to 20 recipients in 2022.
Applications for a grant may be obtained at gemcitybreakfastkiwanis.com or on Facebook-Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis. Applications must be postmarked no later than May 1 or emailed by May 3.
