Havana woman facing drug charges after traffic stop in Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — Chief Deputy Zack Orr, chief deputy with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, conducted a traffic stop at 8:54 p.m. May 17 in the 300 block of South Main in Pleasant Hill on a gray 2009 Toyota passenger car.
After an investigation, Sarah J. Shawgo, 42, of Havana was arrested on the following charges:
- Unlawful possession of methamphetamine,
- DUI (drugs),
- Operating an uninsured motor vehicle,
- Failure to signal when required.
Shawgo was arrested without incident and lodged in the Pike County Jail.
