Katie Thurston’s season on “The Bachelorette” is in full swing on ABC-TV. The next Bachelorette already has started her journey to find love.

One of the contestants attempting to become the fiancé of Michelle Young has been seen making regular sales visits to Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Mo.

Clayton Echard is from Eureka, Mo., near Six Flags over St. Louis off U.S. 44. He is one of 35 men in California right now. He is not yet part of the final cast. An early reveal of the candidates on the show’s Facebook page is an attempt to weed out bad apples, based on the public’s feedback. The list will go through a few changes before the the show premieres on Oct. 19.

Echard’s biography says he works as a orthopedic sales representative for Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies based in Kalamazoo, Mich. HRH officials confirm that part of Echard’s duties call for him to visit there on occasion.

Echard, 28, is a 2016 graduate of the University of Missouri. He has a degree in health professions and related clinical sciences. He played football for the Tigers from 2012-15 and was a member of the Seattle Seahawks preseason roster in 2016. Echard also previously was a freestyle rapper.

The contestants for the show’s 18th season range in age from their mid-20s to their mid-30s.

Young will be the star of the show’s 18th season. She is a teacher from Minneapolis and a former NCAA Division I basketball player. Young arrived late when Matt James was the star of the 25th season of “The Bachelor,” nearly making it almost to the end.

She claims to know what she wants in her future husband. She wants a guy who’s “confident but not cocky and will look at her as his equal in all things.” She also “wants a man by her side who is supportive and driven to make the world a better place.”
