Ex-Wife, juvenile female make first court appearances in Bushnell murder case, preliminary hearings set
MACOMB, Ill. — The ex-wife of a Bushnell man shot to death on June 2 and a 17-year-old female were in McDonough County Court Wednesday afternoon.
Patricia Purden, 37, was arrested Monday along with her son, Davin Purden, 18, Nicholas Lafary, 17 and the female juvenile, in connection with the June 2 shooting death of Travis Purden.
Davin Purden, Travis Purden’s son, and Lafary were issued bonds at their first hearing and remain in custody. Patricia Purden and the 17-year-old female were charged with Obstructing Justice.
Patricia Purden’s bond was set at $75,000, 10% to apply. The female juvenile will be held with no bond.
Patricia Purden will have a preliminary hearing on June 21, while Davin Purden and Nicholas Lafary will have their preliminary hearing on June 28.
