PALMYRA, Mo. — Marion County 911, the City of Palmyra and public safety officials recognized long-time Palmyra resident Albert D. Durand with a lifetime achievement ceremony on Wednesday.

Marion County 911 partnered with Maple Lawn Nursing Home, where Durand now is a full-time resident, to be the host of a ceremony at the home to recognize him. A short flag ceremony by members of the American Legion Post was followed by an emergency vehicle parade from area fire departments, the Marion County Ambulance District and local law enforcement officers.
