Spine specialist from Hannibal to see patients monthly at Memorial Hospital

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Dr. Rahul Basho will begin seeing patients at Memorial Medical Building, 1450 N. County Road in Carthage, on Aug. 27 while also continuing his practice at Midwest Orthopedic Specialists in Hannibal, Mo.

Basho specializes in cutting-edge minimally invasive spine surgery. He sees patients suffering from back pain, neck pain, shooting pain or tingling in their extremities, osteoarthritis, herniated disks, sports injuries and more. He will see patients on the fourth Friday of every month in Carthage.

Having a practice in Carthage will allow me to do this for the west-central Illinois and southeast Iowa region.” 

Basho is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in 2009. He completed his fellowship in adult degenerative spinal disorders in 2010 at the University of California-Los Angeles Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Basho is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is active in clinical research and has published several research pieces. 

Basho makes patient education a top priority when he sees patients.
