Marion County State Fair royalty named, fair continues through the weekend

PALMYRA, Mo. – The belles of the ball were announced over the weekend at the Marion County Fair.

Elina Reed was named Miss Marion County. Elina, of Palmyra, is the daughter of Lance and Tamara Reed. Elina joined the Palmyra FFA Chapter in 2019. She is a varsity cheerleader at Palmyra High School and is recognized as a UCA All-American Cheerleader. 

Junior Miss is Carlee McCoy. Carlee, of Hannibal is the daughter of Tisha and Daniel Smith and Darrell and Jamie McCoy, and she served as a 2022-23 Becky ambassador in Hannibal.

Pre-Junior Miss is Eddison Brown. Eddison was previously the 2019 Little Miss Marion County. 

The Marion County fair kicked off last week and there is still plenty of time to enjoy the fun throughout this week and the weekend.

The carnival will have armbands Tuesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

Arena events include:

Tuesday 6:30 p.m.: Tractor Pull 

Wednesday 8 p.m.: Four Wheeler Races

Thursday 7 p.m.: Pedal Powered Tractor Pull

Thursday 8 p.m.: Super Cross Races 

Friday 7 p.m.: Demolition Derby

Saturday 6:30 p.m.: Truck and Tractor Pull
