Ethan’s Rodeo on Aug. 18-19 at Flower City Park will raise funds to fight neuroblastoma

PALMYRA, Mo. — Ethan’s Rodeo, named in memory of Ethan Weiman who fought neuroblastoma from 2007-2009, will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18-19 at Flower City Park in Palmyra.

Ethan’s family and friends present Ethan’s Rodeo to fund ongoing research of neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer responsible for 15 percent of all childhood cancer deaths.

Ethan’s Rodeo features award winning contestants and livestock, rodeo clown acts and pyrotechnics shows with each performance. Fans will enjoy bull riding, barrel racing, bucking horses, steer wrestling and roping events.

Ethan’s Rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association and the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association.

Ethan’s Rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. each night. Gates and concessions will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Family activities scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening include a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce house and much more. Children are invited to participate in a Stick Bull Ride/Parade at 7 p.m. each night.

The Stew Boys will perform Saturday after the rodeo on the Refreshment Services Pepsi Music Stage.

Concession vendors include The Butcher Block, Pepsi, Beer Garden, Tri State Sno Biz and Popp’n on Maine.

Tickets are available at www.ethansrodeo.com and at the gate both nights. Price is $15 per person with ages six and younger admitted free.
