Hannibal man facing four burglary charges after arrest at Pittsfield business

PITTSFIELD, Ill. — A Hannibal, Mo., man is facing four burglary charges after his arrest by the Pittsfield Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to multiple burglaries on the west side of Pittsfield on Aug. 23. Officers obtained a video of the suspect and vehicle from a local business, then located the vehicle and suspect at a business. The suspect, Dustin R. Debary, 41, of Hannibal, was taken into custody, and the vehicle was seized.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and located a substantial amount of stolen property inside the vehicle, a stolen license plate from Jacksonville and property that was stolen from Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal.

The Pittsfield Police Department was assisted by the Hannibal Police Department. 

Debary was charged with four counts of burglary, theft, possession of a stolen license plate, lllegal possession of a firearm/ammunition and driving on suspended license. A press release from the Pittsfield Police Department noted additional charges are expected.
