United Alloy acquires land for permanent location in Quincy which is expected to create 100 jobs
QUINCY — United Alloy recently acquired land in Quincy for a permanent facility in the Great River area.
United Alloy’s current Quincy location is a 24,000 square foot weld-only facility in the Ellington Road industrial park that opened in April 2023. The newly purchased land is located just east of the current location, south of Ellington Road.
“Because of the help we received from Kyle Moore and his team at the Great River Economic Development Foundation, who put us in contact with the right team to secure our new location, as well as welcoming us into the community, United Alloy is able to establish permanent roots in Quincy,” Andrew Parrish, production manager of United Alloy in Quincy, said in a press release.
The plan is for United Alloy to break ground by 2025 and construct a 200,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and create at least 100 new jobs for Quincy.
“I am very excited for what this means to our team here in Quincy,” Parrish said. “These folks took a risk on a ‘new to Quincy’ company that most had not even heard of before. This investment represents a long-term commitment to their hard work and dedication over the past several months.
“Personally, United Alloy has represented everything I could hope for in a company that I fully intend to retire from one day. When the company’s culture and values align with what I believe in personally, it becomes much easier to lead and make decisions. The opportunity to come in on the ground floor and help build something that will be around long after I am gone is pretty special. I cannot wait to look back in 5-10-15 years and see how far we have come. The future of UAGR (United Alloy Great River) is very bright.”
Headquartered in Janesville, Wis., with a second facility in Seguin, Texas, United Alloy, Inc., is a contract metal fabrication and powder coating company. United Alloy produces leak-proof metal fuel tanks, hydraulic reservoirs, skids, frames, chassis, trailers, and complex weldments for an extensive list of Fortune 500 OEM customers.
