QHS to kick off homecoming weekend with parade, pep rally Thursday night
QUINCY — Quincy High School will celebrate its homecoming weekend with a slate of events starting on Thursday, Sept. 28, with the homecoming parade immediately followed by a pep rally.
The parade route will travel along Maine from 14th to 33rd. Step off will be at 6:30 p.m. with the pep rally immediately following the parade.
Parking for the pep rally will be limited to the QHS upper lot and the Baldwin lot accessed from 30th Street. A limited number of handicapped spots will be available when entering from 30th Street. No parking will be available near the Baldwin main entrance, since that’s the end of the parade route and the staging area for float tear-down. Limited golf cart shuttles from the QHS upper lot to the pep rally will be available, and none will be available for returning to vehicles after the event.
The homecoming varsity football game will the played at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at Flinn Stadium with Quincy playing host to Galesburg.
