Inaugural Halloween and Horror Con set for Saturday at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal’s inaugural Halloween and Horror Con will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center.

The event will include celebrity guests, vendors and costume and scream queen contests. Tickets are $20 online or at the door. Children 10 and younger will be admitted free.

Celebrity guests are:

• Warren Gillette, best known as Jason Voorhees in Friday The 13th Part 2.
• David Naughton, best known for his lead role as “David the werewolf” in “American Werewolf in London.” Naughton has also appeared in “The Twilight Zone,” “Amityville: A New Generation,” “American Horror Story,” and soon to be released “Waking Nightmare.”
• Bill Diamond, a three-time Emmy Award winner and curator of the works of Basil Gogos.

Have your photo taken with the “Little Shop of Horrors” Man-Eating-Plant Audrey, The Golden Idol from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and Skeksis from “The Dark Crystal.”

The largest display of Basil Gogos art ever brought to the Midwest will be on display. Signed paintings, lithographs and prints will be on display and available for purchase.
