Safely dispose of medications Saturday during DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
QUINCY — Adams County residents can safely and securely dispose of potentially addictive prescription medications at two locations in Quincy during the upcoming National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
Drugs can be returned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Adams County Health Department, 330 Vermont, and at Sam’s Club, 700 N. 54th.
The DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is in collaboration with the Quincy Police Department.
Take-back events offer an opportunity for Adams County residents to properly dispose of medications no longer needed or expired, including potentially addictive prescription opioids. Items that cannot be accepted at this event are syringes, needles or other sharps and liquid medications.
