QU’s homecoming weekend set for Sept. 30-Oct. 3

QUINCY — Quincy University’s annual homecoming weekend is scheduled for Sept. 30 through Oct. 3, with numerous events planned for alumni, students and the community. Festivities kickoff on Sept. 30 with a homecoming parade, pep rally and annual balloon glow event.

Weekend events include the Chuck French Memorial Golf Tournament, QU Serves at the Abbey, men and women’s soccer games, a bar crawl, tailgating and a football game. QU alumna Theresa Spear will have a Paint Mix
’N Mingle in the Hawk’s Nest, and a Welcome Back Fiesta will be held Oct. 1 at Legends Stadium.

The annual Alumni Dinner recognizing the reunion classes of 1960, 1961, 1965, 1966, 1970, 1971, 1975, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1985, 1986, 1990, 1991, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2016 will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Hall of Fame Room. The university will recognize its alumni of the year.
