‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ to be shown Saturday night in Washington Theater

QUINCY — The Washington Theater will be the site for the fifth annual showing of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ on Saturday, Oct. 28.

‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ is an interactive film that encourages the viewers to participate in the film with various props at appropriate times. The theater will be providing the viewers with prop bags containing the necessary props and an information sheet instructing them how and when to use the props. 

Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the evening will begin with an hour-long set of electronic dance music by DJ Brian Durante, who will deliver a continuous vinyl mix of the best in classic and contemporary drum and bass, house and techno.

Attendees are welcome to come in costume of characters from the film. A costume contest with a $100 prize for the best costume will be announced immediately before the movie begins.

A cash bar and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for purchase by Maine Course. Typical movie snacks like popcorn and hot dogs will also be available for purchase.

Admission is $20. Tickets can be purchased online at quincywashingtontheater.org or at the door the night of the event.
