Pittsfield man dies after car crash on Friday on County Highway 7, north of Nebo

NEBO, Ill. — A Pittsfield man died as the result of a car crash on Friday on County Highway 7, north of Nebo.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department responded at 5:47 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, to a single unit vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle, Michael Knight of Pittsfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting at the scene was the Spring Creek Fire Department, Pike County EMS and the Illinois State Police.
Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood said an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
