Meth, drug items found in Iowa woman’s vehicle after traffic stop in Hancock County

ELVASTON, Ill. — Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found in an Iowa woman’s vehicle after a traffic stop in Hancock County.

Deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Monday, Dec. 11, on a maroon 2003 Chevrolet Silverado for a traffic violation on U.S. 136 near the intersection with County Road 1450 East. 

Deputies located a glass smoking pipe with burnt residue in the possession of the driver, Candy S. Gray, 58 of Davenport, Iowa. Several plastic baggies with white residue were located. The pipe and baggies field tested positive for methamphetamine. 

Gray was transported to the Hancock County Jail. where she was released on a notice to appear per the Safe-T Act.
