Jazz Messengers to bring big band music to American Legion Hall in Hannibal on Saturday

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Jazz Messengers will perform a concert and dance from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at the American Legion Hall, 3819 Highway MM.

The Jazz Messengers are a jazz combo that plays big band music and is made up of professional and amateur musicians from Quincy, Ill., and the region pulled from the larger group making up The Big River Swing Machine. The combo’s repertoire includes 1940s swing standards as well as modern big-band jazz favorites.

Tickets are required. Tickets are $25 in advance for the general public and $20 for HAC members. If not sold out, tickets will be available at the door. A cash bar will be available. Attendees are invited to bring snacks to enjoy throughout the evening.
