Woman facing first-degree domestic assault charge after Friday stabbing in Marion County

PHILADELPHIA, Mo. — A woman is lodged in the Marion County Jail after a stabbing incident on Friday.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reported on Saturday it received a 911 call on the morning of Friday, March 29, in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. Deputies reported to a residence on County Road 134 northwest of Palmyra in Marion County. 

The victim reported a single stab wound, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. Breanna N. Quiroz was taken into custody and lodged in the Marion County Jail. 

The 10th Circuit Court issued an arrest warrant for Quiroz for domestic assault in the first degree and armed criminal action. 

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Marion County Ambulance and Marion County R-2 first responders.
