Young Masters to be recognized at Hannibal Arts Council Monday and Tuesday

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal’s Young Masters exhibit has been on display at the Hannibal Arts Council in April. The special exhibit traditionally ends with two closing award nights.

The awards night for fifth and eighth grades will be Monday, April 22. The Hannibal High School award night will be Tuesday, April 23. Both award nights will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. with awards given out at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend and support young people participating in positive and creative endeavors.

Select students from each grade level will be recognized with awards each night. The Hannibal High School Art Department art instructors will give additional awards for participating HHS students. Sponsors for this year’s Young Masters exhibit are First State Insurance Agency, Riedel Foundation, General Mills Hometown Grantmaking Program, Community Foundation of West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri and the Hannibal Arts Council in cooperation with the Missouri Arts Council.

The Hannibal Arts Council gallery hours during the exhibit schedule are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
