Hannibal Regional Auxiliary recognizes Schreiner as volunteer of year at service awards luncheon
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Regional Auxiliary recognized Carolyn Schreiner as its volunteer of the year for 2023 at the annual service awards luncheon that took place April 15 at the Hannibal Country Club.
Since joining Hannibal Regional Auxiliary, Schreiner has given more than 2,500 hours in service to the auxiliary by volunteering her time to baking for and working the bake sales, as well as working at The Caring Cup and the Hannibal Free Clinic.
Other presentations during the awards luncheon included an honorary lifetime membership given to Loretta Bringer. Special recognition awards were presented to Jackie Serbin, Lana Ferrel, Jean Kane and Farrell Church. The auxiliary also presented Outstanding New Member awards to Kay Hamilton and Jerry Jacobs.
Another special recognition this year was the President’s Call to Service Award given to Kim Ahrens. This honor is only for those who have served more than 4,000 hours.
Hannibal Regional Auxiliary was formed in 1993 to help patients, families and visitors in a variety of ways and contribute to the community. With more than 230 members, the auxiliary donates more than 18,000 hours of service each year. The auxiliary provides service in several areas such as Judy’s Boutique, James E. Cary Cancer Center, Hannibal Children’s Center, reception desks, waiting rooms and more.
