MoDOT to hold Wednesday meeting about planned sidewalk project in Maywood

Missouri-Department-of-Transportation

MAYWOOD, Mo. — A public information meeting to discuss a future sidewalk project in Maywood will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Maywood Fire Department, 28722 State Highway V.

MoDOT representatives will be on hand to explain the project and answer any questions. This will be an open house-style meeting with no formal presentation.

The proposed project is along Route V, between Olive Avenue and 292nd Avenue. People with property adjoining the project are encouraged to attend as staff will be on hand to discuss the effects this project will have. This project is being completed as a part of MoDOT’s initiative to bring all MoDOT facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is planned to start in the summer of 2025.

“We are looking forward to completing this project as we work towards our goal of making our transportation system accessible to everyone,” Project Manager Brian Untiedt said in a press release.
