Adams County Sheriff’s Department receives several reports of vehicles stolen or broken into

QUINCY — The Adams County Sheriff’s Department received several reports of vehicles stolen or broken into during this past weekend.

The first incidents were first reported early Saturday, April 20, and other incidents were reported throughout the weekend into the early morning of Monday, April 22.

Adams County Sheriff Tony Grootens said in a press release the subjects traveled across Adams County and into Pike County during this crime spree. Incidents were reported in Quincy, Payson, Liberty, Plainville and Richfield. Numerous cars were entered, and one of them was in Pike County.

Grootens said in the release that people need to lock their vehicles and remove the keys, regardless of where they live. All valuables should be removed from a vehicle.
