QUINCY — The Dogwood Parade Party and Festival, free and open to the public, will be held on the Lorenzo Bull Park grounds, 1550 Maine, from 8:30 am to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

“We have the best parade seats in town,” Dick Wellman, president of Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House, said in a press release. “Come watch the parade with us on Quincy’s front lawn, and stay all day for the fun. We’ll have food trucks, music, free children’s activities, house tours and more.

“A parade party is exactly what it sounds like — a party to watch a parade. It’s when a community comes together as one to celebrate with friends and neighbors, while enjoying the beautiful historic architecture at Lorenzo Bull Park.”

Multiple food trucks will be available offering lunch after the parade.

“Lorenzo Bull Park is uniquely situated on the Maine Street parade route. It’s a natural fit to host a parade party and all-day festival. We’re hoping Quincy will once again get behind this unifying event,” said Barb Holthaus, Quincy Park Board member and board member of the Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House.
