Hannibal firefighters need 10 minutes to control Wednesday morning structure fire

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Fire Department was dispatched at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday by 911 for a report of a structure fire at 1907 Hope. All stations responded. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the rear door.  All occupants were out of the duplex upon arrival. Crews had the fire under control in approximately 10 minutes. Fire crews remained on scene conducting salvage and overhaul operations. 

The Hannibal Fire Department was assisted by the Hannibal Police Department, Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office, Hannibal Building Inspector, Marion County Ambulance District, Hannibal Board of Public Works and the American Red Cross.  

No injuries were reported. Smoke alarms were present and working. The fire is under investigation.
