Hancock Co. Sheriff makes meth arrest
Early Tuesday morning, Hancock County deputies a made traffic stop that led to a methamphetamine related arrest.
A sheriff’s deputy on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Jeep for a traffic violation. The driver, Lisa R. Meyers, 45, of Keokuk, IA was found to have an active warrant for her arrest in Hancock County.
Meyers was placed under arrest. During a search the deputy located drug paraphernalia related to methamphetamine ingestion, prescription medication that did not belong to Meyers, and 2.7 grams of methamphetamine.
Meyers was transported to the jail and charged with Possession of Less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
