Becky was born December 5, 1954, in Quincy, IL to Arlie James and Merle May (Sapp) Rowsey. She was married to Oscar “Shorty” Morgan on July 18, 1981, in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death.

In addition to her husband, Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her son, James Michael “Mikey” Elliott, her twin sister, Regina Rose Gentry, and two brothers, Arthur “Joe” Rowsey, and Arlie “Slim” James Rowsey.

Becky is survived by one son, John Haberman (Khristina) of Hollister, MO; two sisters, Terri Lynn Baker (Jim) of Quincy, IL, and Mary Elizabeth Johnson of IA.; two grandchildren, Gaige Haberman (Taylor), and Specialist Kerrstin Haberman who is currently serving in the Army National Guard; two great grandchildren, James and Grace. Several loving nieces and nephews also survive.

Professionally, Becky was a hard-working entrepreneur who owned and operated Becky’s Hair Repair for many years. Hair was something Becky was deeply passionate about, and she loved helping make her clients feel beautiful.

Beyond her work, Becky was an animal lover and loved spending time with her beloved Chihuahua mixes, Cookie and Mo-Mo, and her bird, Pretty Boy. Becky loved listening to the music of Celine Dion, watching the television show, Celebrity Ghost Stories, and spent many years collecting Mickey and Minnie Mouse memorabilia. She was an excellent cook who had a knack for always being able to make something delicious without a recipe and only using the ingredients she had on hand. When she wasn’t whipping up something tasty in her own kitchen, Becky enjoyed going out to eat Mexican or Chinese food. Most of all, Becky had a servant’s heart and enjoyed her Ladies Nite Out Christian fellowship and bible study group that met on Tuesday nights at the Quincy Senior Center. She and her niece Jennifer also enjoyed their time together at Horizon’s Soup Kitchen during the lunch hour.
