CNB Bank & Trust Donation sparks re-establishment of Pike County 4-H Foundation
PITTSFIELD, Ill. — Before members of the newly re-established Pike County 4-H Foundation met for the first time, CNB Bank & Trust presented a $1,000 donation, indicating the start of positive growth in Pike County 4-H.
In a press release, Illinois Extension County Director Shelby Crow said, “This foundation will help members gain new opportunities and grow 4-H in Pike County.”
The foundation is made up of:
- Jeff Galle, chair;
- Jenna Morrow, vice chair;
- Cheri Myers, secretary/treasurer;
- Jim Sheppard; and
- Mike Vose.
These people each have diverse backgrounds, knowledge and skills, and they understand the value that 4-H brings to its members and the experiences it offers.
“The 4-H Foundation gives 4-H supporters a way to donate to 4-H in a tax-deductible way, knowing the money will only be used in Pike County and for Pike County 4-H,” Crow said. “The board members will strategically allocate the received funds to maximize their impact, with a primary focus on providing financial support to the members.”
“I am very excited to be a part of the Pike County 4-H Extension Foundation,” Galle said. “4-H changes lives and prepares youth to be future leaders in their community. We look forward to providing support to 4-H members in Pike County to help them develop confidence and communication skills that will help them be successful in life.”
