QUINCY — Adams County CASA, a program of Advocacy Network for Children, had two new CASA volunteers sworn in — Christina Engle and Chloe Saxbery — by Judge John Wooleyhan on June 4 at the Adams County Courthouse.

CASA volunteers are trained community volunteers appointed by a judge to speak up for abused or neglected children in the court system. The newly sworn volunteers received 30 hours of training which included courtroom procedures, working with social service agencies and the special needs of abused and neglected children. These trained volunteers will represent abused and neglected children in the Adams County court system.

For more information on becoming a CASA volunteer, call 217-223-2272 or visit the agency’s website at www.advonet.org.
