Hannibal man in jail after sitting in vehicle with meth, ‘shrooms, pills and weed while pointing AR-15 rifle at people … allegedly

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man is facing gun and drug charges after his arrest on Tuesday.

The 10^th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charged James Troy Noland Jr., 19, on Tuesday, June 11 with unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday, June 10 in the 2000 block of Chestnut. 

Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were called at approximately 3:51 p.m. to a report of a male sitting in a vehicle displaying and pointing a rifle at people in the area. The male, identified as Noland, was located nearby. An AR-15 was seen in plain view inside his vehicle. A search warrant was obtained for Noland’s vehicle and residence. 

Officers found substances believed to be methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, unidentified pills and a handgun with a defaced serial number. 

Noland’s bond was set at $100,000. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
