Hannibal man in jail after sitting in vehicle with meth, ‘shrooms, pills and weed while pointing AR-15 rifle at people … allegedly
HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man is facing gun and drug charges after his arrest on Tuesday.
The 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charged James Troy Noland Jr., 19, on Tuesday, June 11 with unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday, June 10 in the 2000 block of Chestnut.
Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were called at approximately 3:51 p.m. to a report of a male sitting in a vehicle displaying and pointing a rifle at people in the area. The male, identified as Noland, was located nearby. An AR-15 was seen in plain view inside his vehicle. A search warrant was obtained for Noland’s vehicle and residence.
Officers found substances believed to be methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, unidentified pills and a handgun with a defaced serial number.
Noland’s bond was set at $100,000. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
