Brown County boater missing in the Illinois River

LAGRANGE, Mo. — An unidentified male boater in a kayak went overboard near the LaGrange Lock and Dam on the Illinois River just before noon Tuesday.

Search and Rescue crews have been on scene since then in an attempt to recover the man and remains an ongoing and active scene

The US Coast Guard, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Brown County Fire and EMS, and several local area search and rescue team members are on scene assisting with investigation.
