Quincy YMCA opens cooling center to help community beat heat
QUINCY — As the summer temperatures soar, the Quincy YMCA has opened its new cooling center ar 3101 Maine designed to provide a safe and comfortable refuge for the community. The cooling center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. offering a range of amenities to help residents stay cool and refreshed.
Key features of the Quincy YMCA cooling center:
- Air conditioned facility: Fully air-conditioned facility provides a much-needed break from the oppressive heat, ensuring visitors can relax and rejuvenate in a cool environment.
- Cold water stations: Staying hydrated is crucial during the hot summer months. Visitors to the cooling center can enjoy free access to cold water stations to keep themselves refreshed throughout the day.
- Comfortable seating: The cooling center is equipped with spacious and comfortable seating areas, perfect for lounging, reading or simply taking a break from the heat.
