QUINCY — Tyree Entertainment, in collaboration with Ruff Flow Entertainment, recently announced the upcoming “Quincy Sounds of Motown” concert at the Oakley Lindsay Center on Saturday, Oct. 19.

This night of entertainment will feature two icons of Motown music — G.C. Cameron and Paul Williams, Jr.

Cameron is perhaps best known as the lead singer of the Spinners on their 1970 hit, “It’s a Shame,” and for his 1975 hit, “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.” He joined the Temptations in 2003 and remained with the group until 2007 when he left to pursue a solo career. Cameron recently has been performing with reggae band Dub Nation.

Paul Williams, Jr., a son of the iconic Paul Williams of the original Temptations, and his ensemble, The Temptations Revue, will take you through the timeless hits of classic Motown.

“We’re honored to bring the legendary former lead singer of the Spinners to Quincy,” said Renee Washington of Tyree Entertainment in a press release. “Mr. G.C. Cameron also graced the stage with the original Temptations with Otis Williams, so we’ll have someone legendary.”

Tickets for “Quincy Sounds of Motown” can be purchased at www.oakleylindsaycenter.com or in person at the OLC office on the second floor of the Oakley-Lindsay Center. Ticket prices are $75 for VIP Meet and Greet (front seating in first few rows, photo with the groups and hors d’oeuvres) or $55 for general admission, middle seating and $35 for general admission, back seating.

Any person or business can support this special night of entertainment with a sponsorship. Contact Washington at 469-321-9804 or jazziewashington@gmail.com.
