Quincy man arrested following early morning stabbing

QUINCY — One man was treated at Blessing Hospital and another arrested after a stabbing incident on the city’s west side.

At about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, Quincy Police officers responded to the Blessing Emergency Room in reference to a victim with a stab wound being transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

Officers learned the crime occurred in the 400 block of Cherry and the suspect, Dusty Peters, 36, was arrested a short time at his residence in the 300 block of Chestnut. He was lodged in the Adams County Jail for Aggravated Battery.

The victim, a 28 year old male, was treated for non-life threatening knife wounds to his arm at Blessing Hospital. The suspect and victim were acquainted and police believe there is no ongoing threat to the community.
