Ewing Park Party on Aug. 10 to offer variety of activities
EWING, Mo. — The 18th annual Ewing Park Party will be held on Saturday, Aug 10, at the city park.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ewing Community Park to fund park improvements. Previous park parties have helped fund playground equipment, tables, benches, paved parking areas and a new shelter house.
Activities throughout the day will be a parade, car cruise-in (no entry fee), food trucks/vendors, merchandise vendors, silent auction, a cornhole tournament and bingo. Evening events will be a pulled pork dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. at the firehouse and sponsored by the Ewing R-4 Fire and Rescue Auxiliary. Proceeds from the dinner will go towards the purchase of equipment. Hearsay Band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m.
Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Schedule for the day:
- 8 a.m. — vendor setup begins along with corn hole tournament registration
- 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. — silent auction
- 9 a.m.-4 p.m. — cornhole tournament
- 10 a.m.-3 p.m. — car cruise-in
- 11 a.m.-noon — parade
- Noon-4 p.m. — bingo/poker
- 4-6 p.m. — pulled pork meal at fire station
- 7-9 p.m. — music by Hearsay Band
Vendor applications and silent auction items are still be accepted. Vendor fee is $20 if paid by July 31, $25 after that date.
