Man shot following argument at Prairie Crossing parking lot

QUINCY — One person was shot and two suspects are in custody following a Saturday afternoon shooting at an east end Quincy shopping center.

The shooting took place just before 2:30 p.m. at the east side of the Prairie Crossing parking lot outside of Petco and TJ Maxx.

Quincy Police Chief Adam Yates told Muddy River News a disturbance happened inside TJ Maxx, 6210 Broadway, and the parties took it outside. One man was shot in the process. Yates said he was taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two suspects are in custody.

There is no active shooter situation. A weapon has been recovered, and the scene is under control.
