Richard Elsenpeter was 97.

QUINCY — Richard W. Elsenpeter “(“Toby Dick Ellis”)”, passed away Wednesday afternoon.

“Toby Dick” was an icon, and early pioneer, of television in Quincy. His television program “Possum Holler Opry” was the gold standard of local television and ran for 10 years on WGEM, from 1960 – 1970. 

We had a Muddy River Gems feature on him that we now repost in his memory.

Richard W. Elsenpeter was 97.
