Task Force arrests Quincy man for narcotics at 36th and Harrison traffic stop
QUINCY – The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation West Central Illinois Task Force (WCITF) arrested Natas T. Reed, 38, of Quincy on Wednesday night for methamphetamine delivery over 900 grams, a Class X felony.
At approximately 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, WCITF agents, with the assistance of the Quincy Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, made a traffic stop near 36th and Harrison in Quincy. During the traffic stop, agents arrested Reed for an Adams County warrant for aggravated battery to a pregnant person.
During the search of the vehicle, agents found more than 900 grams of ice methamphetamine. Reed was incarcerated in the Adams County Jail.
Reed made his first appearance in Adams County Circuit Court on Thursday before Judge Josh Jones. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Monday morning before Judge Zachary Boren. His attorney is Public Defender Betsy Bier.
