QUINCY — The Quincy Tree Commission (QTC) presented the Quincy’s Prestigious Landscape Award to St. Peter Parish during a ceremony on Thursday, July 11. The award recognizes the Parish’s efforts to beautify its campus along Maine Street and the entire neighborhood.

QTC chair Sarah Michaels said in a press release, “It’s a wonderful experience to drive by and see the beauty you have created. This has been a long time in the making, and it is exciting to see your efforts come together.”

Michaels joined Quincy Mayor Mike Troup in presenting the plaque to Msgr. Leo Enlow on behalf of the parish. Troup said he’s pleased to help recognize the parish with this award.

“I appreciate everyone’s efforts here to help beautify this property,” Troup said. “Your campus contributes to the appearance of the entire area in such a positive way, and I thank you for that.”

“This award reflects the pride of our parishioners who work so much to present our parish campus as a reflection of the beautify of God’s creation,” Enlow said. “This award reflects the many hours of labor that our parishioners engage in reflect their pride in the handiwork they have created. This has been, and continues to be, a labor of love. Our parishioners assume a stewardship of this campus that should make not only our parish proud but the entire community of Quincy.”
