HLGU appoints Graham as vice president for academic administration, dean of faculty
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal-LaGrange University recently announced the appointment of Christopher Graham as vice president for academic administration and dean of the faculty pro tem.
Graham joins HLGU from Criswell College in Dallas, Texas, where he has been vice president of academic affairs since 2019.
Graham was instrumental in developing and implementing Criswell 360°, a comprehensive program integrating curricular and co-curricular activities to enhance student learning and development. Criswell College completed its SACSCOC decennial accreditation reaffirmation with no recommendations.
Graham holds a doctorate in theological studies, with a specialty in early Christian studies, from Dallas Theological Seminary, where he also earned his master’s degree in academic ministries. He completed his undergraduate studies at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering. His scholarly work includes numerous publications and presentations on early Christian thought, theology and history.
Graham has served as an interim pastor at Bethany Baptist Church and in various roles at First Baptist Church of Dallas. His community involvement extends to participation in the Mayor’s Southern Dallas Task Force.

Graham succeeds Julie Albee, who recently retired. He began his duties with HLGU on Aug. 1.
