Fall open house at Quincy Humane Society set for Oct. 24

QUINCY — The Quincy Humane Society is having a fall open house from 1-3:30 p.m. Oct. 24.

The “Fall in Love with a Furry Friend” event will allow the community to get acquainted with the organization and the shelter animals waiting for a home. People can meet and socialize with the animals outside of their kennels. This casual playtime allows the animals to have fun and make a good impression on potential adopters. Adoption specials will be available.

A costume contest will be held for children, and candy will be given in various areas of the shelter. Apple cider and fall treats also will be served.
