Funeral services for Ronnie Eugene Cragen, 72, of Perry, will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 18, 2024 at the Perry Christian Church with pastor Leanne Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Lick Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.
Bienhoff Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cragen passed away at 4:51 AM Friday, August 9, 2024 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis surrounded by his family.
Ronnie was born June 26, 1952 the son of Cecil and Bernadine Hall Cragen.
He is survived by two daughters; Amber (Derek Hauser) Lewis of St. Louis and Amy (Don Browning) Wilkinson of Center, one son; Tony (Kayla) Cragen of Vandalia, one sister Beverly (Eddie) Palmer of New London, seven grandchildren; Landon Cripe, Meagan Cripe, Jordan Wilkinson, Hannah Lewis, Gavin Lewis, Anthony Cragen, and Mason Cragen, special caregiver; Holly Billett, along with nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Mackenzie Cragen, two sisters; Linda Laird and Shirley Maxwell.
Ronnie was a lifetime area resident and 1970 graduate of Mark Twain High School. He was a member of the Perry Christian Church and volunteered for many years with the Perry Fire Department. Ronnie retired from the City of Perry after working for thirty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he enjoyed his time spent with his family. Ronnie was a huge supporter of his community and a friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Ragland, Craig Cunningham, Matthew Diffenderfer, Alan McBride, Bob Stevener, and Andrew Bell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Bair, Tom Waldmeier, Coy Cummings, Dean Wilson, and Darrell Egbert.
Memorial contributions may be made to Perry Christian Church, Perry Fire Department, or Lick Creek Cemetery in care of Bienhoff Funeral Home, PO Box 427 Perry, MO 63462
