JWCC offering extended hours to assist students with enrollment before fall semester
QUINCY — John Wood Community College is offering extended hours at its Quincy campus at 48th and Harrison to help students complete their enrollment process before classes begin on Aug. 19. To accommodate students’ busy schedules, key student services will remain open later through Aug. 20.
Extended Hours Schedule:
- Aug. 12-15 (Monday –Thursday): Student services open until 6 p.m.
- Aug. 16 (Friday): Services available until 8 a.m. to noon
- Aug. 19-20 (Monday-Tuesday): Student services and bookstore open until 6 p.m.
JWCC will return to regular hours, which are Monday through Thursday until 5 p.m. and Friday until noon beginning Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Services Available During Extended Hours:
- Advising: Meet with academic advisors to finalize course selections, create class schedules and discuss academic goals.
- Admissions: Complete your application, submit necessary documents and receive assistance with the enrollment process.
- Financial Aid: Get help with FAFSA applications, financial aid packages and payment plans.
- Campus Care: Address any health or wellness concerns, including insurance questions.
- Business Office: Pay tuition, set up payment plans and address any billing questions.
Extended hours do not apply to JWCC’s Workforce Development Center, Southeast Education Center, Agricultural Education Center, Mount Sterling Education Center and JWCC at Bella Ease in Quincy.
“We understand that many students have work or family obligations during regular business hours, so we’re offering extended hours to make it easier for them to get the support they need,” Dean of Student Affairs Rachel Hansen said in a press release. “Whether students are just getting started or finalizing last-minute details, our staff is here to help them every step of the way.”
