CROWDER, ANTONIO

Antonio R. Crowder

QUINCY – Quincy Police arrested a man on the city’s west side on multiple charges, including failure to register as a sex offender.

At about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, QPD Detectives were conducting address checks of sex offenders and received information that registered sex offender Antonio R. Crowder, 28, was not living at his registered address of 405 1/2 Sycamore and was instead living elsewhere. Detectives were then able to locate Crowder at 932 N. 4th Street and learned he had previously been issued a trespass warning for this location.

A subsequent search of the residence uncovered 80 cannabis plants in various stages of growth and more than 300 grams of loose cannabis. Detectives spent several hours at the residence collecting evidence and dismantling equipment.

Crowder was arrested, transported to the Quincy Police Department, then lodged in the Adams County Jail.

On Friday, Crowder made his first appearance in Adams County Court where he was officially charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Unlawful Production of Cannabis Plants (50-200 plants) and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Delivery (30-500 grams).

Crowder was then freed on pretrial release.
