Quincy Astronomy Club to be host of star party at JWCC campus Thursday

QUINCY — The Quincy Astronomy Club will be the host of a star party at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, on the grounds at John Wood Community College. Viewing will be at the southeast end of the college near the JWCC greenhouse.  

The public is invited to bring chairs, telescopes and binoculars. Experienced club members will be present to help view the night sky and give a short presentation.

The Astronomy Club was formed by local amateur astronomers and seeks to teach, explore, and expand minds about space and our universe.
