Two injured Thursday night when vehicle rolls over east of Palmyra

PALMYRA, Mo. — A Hannibal woman and a teen boy were injured Thursday night when a vehicle rolled over east of Palmyra.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Christina L. Chestnutt, 40, of Hannibal, was heading east on Marion County Road 408, five miles east of Palmyra, at 6:40 p.m. when it traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

Chestnutt and a passenger, a 16-year-old male from Hannibal, were taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. They suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department provided assistance.
