Palmyra man dies after motorcycle crash near Marion County Courthouse

PALMYRA, Mo. — A Palmyra man died Tuesday night after a motorcycle crash.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Scott Miller, 52, was driving his 1996 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle north on South Dickerson near the intersection of West Lafayette, just west of the Marion County Courthouse square. He lost control of the motorcycle, struck a curb and overturned, falling off the motorcycle. 

Miller was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:23 p.m. 

The Marion County Ambulance District, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the Palmyra Police Department and the Palmyra Fire Department assisted.
