QUINCY — The 2024 Fundraising Summit is bringing quality speakers to Quincy to benefit local non- profits and other organizations.

The all-day workshop organized by the Tri-State Area Fundraising Professionals (TSAFP) is set from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 405 Vermont.

The summit features speakers from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and will cover topics like grant management, developing major gifts, planned giving fundamentals and building annual sustainability.

“Local fundraising professionals often have to travel two hours or more for professional development opportunities,” TSAFP President Matt Schmidt said in a press release. “A workshop like this provides great opportunities for local non-profits, churches and educational institutions — basically anyone who raises money — to learn new techniques and the latest information without having to spend a fortune to travel across the country to attend a conference to get the same experience.”

Cost for the Fundraising Summit is $25 for members of Tri-State Area Fundraising Professionals and $50 for non-members, which includes lunch. The event is underwritten by the Community Foundation and the Tracy Family Foundation. The registration deadline is Oct. 7. To register, visit bit.ly/3LdSQoK.
