TIMEWELL, Ill. — The Brown County Historical Society will hold its annual fall meeting and program on Thursday, Sept. 26.  The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Timewell Baptist Church. Members and the public are invited to attend. A pie bar will be available for those attending.

Membership renewals will be accepted. New memberships are welcome.  The program will begin after a short business meeting.

The guest speaker will be Timewell native Tim Moore.  A 1981 Brown County High School graduate, Moore grew up in Timewell, working in his early years in the Moore family business, the Timewell State Bank. A CPA, Moore spent most of his professional career in the Blessing Hospital financial and administrative offices, retiring in February this year after 34 years, the last 15 as vice president of finance and chief accounting officer.

Moore also served as vice president and treasurer of the Blessing Foundation and secretary of Blessing Hospital.  Moore and his wife now live near their daughter and her family in the Kansas City area. His hobby of collecting Timewell memorabilia and postcards for many years will be on display at the meeting.
