Hannibal Arts Council to celebrate 48th annual Folklife Festival on Oct. 19-20

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Exhibitors will fill the streets of Hannibal’s Main Street on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20, for the Hannibal Arts Council’s 48th annual Hannibal Folklife Festival.  Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The two-day festival features artists, artisans, makers selling traditional arts, fine arts and crafts, local musicians filling the air with music, fabulous food from local nonprofit, church and civic organizations, Street Pub, hot or cold apple cider, coffee, root beer, a kid’s corner activity area and a farmer’s market.

Attendees can expect to see fiber arts, pottery, leather craft, flint and glass knapping, furniture makers, wood carving, blacksmithing, jewelry, painting and drawing. Exhibitors from all over the Midwest will have handmade products for sale.

Entertainment includes a full schedule of local and regional musicians and dancers sharing their talents in the Folklife Festival environment of strolling and street performances.
